Current Monthly Theme:
July - Hooking the Reader

Brian's Series - "Hooking the Reader" Hey, guys! Brian, here! I just wanted to tell you a little bit about the series that I will be posting (on Fridays) during the month of July. As you can see above, this month's theme is "Hooking the Reader", and that's exactly what I will be posting about! So, I hope you'll stick with me as I give you a few posts centered around hooking the reader.

Kira's Series - The Written Word Hey there everybody! Kira here to give you a bit of insight into The Written word (or TWW for short). This series (managed by yours truly) on our blog will be focused on the most important thing to the majority of our readers - the actual writing. Every Thursday, we will share an excerpt from someone's writing, published or not. To start, the five admins will feature sections of our own WIPs. We hope you enjoy our writing, and feel free to email us at yawriters.alumni@gmail.com if you'd like to see your own writing featured!

Emily's Series -  Hello lovely readers!  I am actually going to be dividing my time.  I will be the main admin working with Why Is That So Popular?, a series focused on why different television shows, movies, or books have made it so big and what we can learn from them.  The others will all take their turns helping me out with that project.  Then, with some help from Carilyn and occasionally Kira, I'll be in charge of interviews and giveaways!  That's always my favorite part of any writing blog, because interviews help me to see inside the life of my favorite writers and their published lives, while giveaways = free stuff!  Everyone loves free stuff. ;)

Carilyn's Series - Monday Memes  Hey Writers! Thanks so much for stopping by this page! It's our goal to provide you with helpful or interesting information. But we also want to provide encouragement as you pursue writing. This is where Monday Memes comes in. Each Monday, we'll be posting a meme, video, or quote that will get you thinking about writing in the coming week. It'll make you laugh, make you think, or maybe even guilt trip you. ;) Whatever the case may be, the goal is to get you focused on writing for the week ahead. I hope you enjoy it!
